If you’ve completed an intensive outpatient addiction treatment program, you might be ready for the next level of care: outpatient rehab. While in an outpatient addiction treatment program, individuals who are struggling with an addiction to drugs or alcohol learn how to use the skills and strategies they’ve developed during treatment in everyday life. At Amatus Recovery Centers, our addiction treatment center locations across the country offer outpatient programs to help you begin to rebuild your life. If you’ve completed a residential or more intensive addiction treatment program, or if your addiction issues are less severe, you can enter our outpatient rehab and learn how to live a happy, healthy life free from drugs or alcohol.
Is Outpatient Rehab Right for me?
While we provide high-quality addiction treatment at all of our Amatus Recovery Centers locations, outpatient rehab is not right for everyone. If you are struggling with a severe addiction to drugs or alcohol or are experiencing a mental health crisis, you may require more intensive care. However, if you have spent time developing healthy coping skills and strategies to handle the stress of everyday life, consider our outpatient addiction treatment programs.
In outpatient rehab, patients live either at home or in a community housing program. Meanwhile, they travel to an addiction treatment center several times a week for group or individual therapy sessions. At the center, they’ll work on life skills, participate in recreational activities, learn about nutrition, and develop strong support networks. This type of comprehensive treatment helps patients heal in both body and mind as they plan for their future recovery.
For many patients, outpatient treatment is the final step of their formal addiction treatment. If you’re not sure whether or not outpatient treatment is right for you, consider the following:
- Have you completed a more intensive program for addiction treatment, like a residential detox program, partial hospitalization program, or intensive outpatient rehab?
- Are you ready to return to work or school on a part-time basis?
- Are your family and friends supportive of your recovery, or do you have another network of support?
- Have you worked on the life skills and coping strategies you need to deal with potential future challenges?
If you can answer yes to most of the above, an outpatient program at one of our Amatus Recovery Centers might be right for you.
Outpatient Rehab at Amatus Recovery Centers
At Amatus Recovery Centers, outpatient rehab is the final step in our addiction treatment programs. Our goal is to give you the tools and resources you need for lasting sobriety. At our centers, you’ll find experienced staff who will create a personalized treatment plan for your time in recovery.
During group and individual therapy sessions, you’ll work on developing plans of action for your future. While you will encounter stress in the real world, it doesn’t have to set you back. Instead, you can face stress and triggers head-on and with confidence.
Another focus of our outpatient rehab programs is wellness education. Addiction can be damaging to your health. However, through nutrition education, exercise classes, and other life skills resources, you can establish healthy habits and routines.
